Natural skin care is the best effort that we can to keep our skin healthy. Skin is the outer covering of our body system. Our body is perfectly covered by skin and is insulated by it from external environment. As skin is always exposed to outer, it is constantly under stress. So, it is important to maintain it healthy ,strong and glowing.

  • Daily bath: A thorough daily bath is essential. Bath in flowing water like river,sea etc. While bathing in a bath tub, a tablespoon full of salt may be added to water for good bath.
  • Thorough mild scrubbing by scrubber is good. Dirts, pollutants which are embedded in skin are washed out. This prevents folliculitis, boil, abscass formation and fungal infection. Skin remains relatively germ-free.
  • Following bath, message whole body with oil(coconut oil, neem oil, olive oil, lavender oil etc). A good massage enhances good blood circulation thus promoting glowing and shining skin.
  • Diet for healthy skin: Eat balanced diet.More green and coloured vegetables,fruits are good for maintaining shining skin. Oily, spicy, junk food,fast food better avoided.

  • Daily exercise like jogging, swimming, walking , free-hand exercises are needed to maintain good skin.
  • Exposure to adequate sunlight is needful,prefarably early morning sunlight is best for skin.Skin produce vitamin A and vitamin D with the help of sunlight. But, excess exposure to sunlight to be avoided. It tannes skin making it darker.
  • Use of moisturiser: In winter due to dry atmosphere, soft skin like lips tends to crack. To prevent,a moisturiser may be used. A good moisturiser may be used. It keeps skin moist and hydrated.
  • Now-a-days, many skin lotions are available in market. These may be used with judiciously.
  • No exposure to sunlight after applying any lotion or cream, specially over face. Skin becomes darkened, black patches may appear. Best time of application of any cream is at night.
  • Handling of corrosives: Better avoided. If needed, protective hand glovesand other means may be adopted. Strong alkali, strong acid are common corrosives.
  • Some plant products like turmeric is very good for healthy skin. Eating raw turmeric with honey is good. Application of turmeric paste throughout the the body gives glowing skin.In fact, in auspicious ceremony like marriage, turmeric paste is used for bathing bride.
  • No Smoking: Smoking causes darkening, early wrinkling and early aging of skin. Skin looses its elastic capacity.
  • Drinking adequate amount of water is very good for healthy skin. Daily 4-5 litres of water is good for shining skin.
  • Sound Sleep is essential for glowing skin. A good sleep remove anxiety patch or dark circles(Dark area around eye).
  • A cheerful and content life helps to maintain good an glowing skin texture.
