No need to add extra calorie to your diet. Try to avoid calorie rich food. After completing the 12th week, you can add 300 extra calories per day in your diet. Try to add fiber content food in your diet.
If your body weight is normal when you get pregnant, you should have gained between 25 to 35 pounds by the time of delivery. Try to limit your body weight between 5 to 10 pounds in the first 20 weeks.
If you are overweight, it is advisable to lose some weight before you get pregnant, So that you can avoid the risk delivery complication. Women having overweight are high prone to miscarriage and have a higher risk of emergency cesarean, gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. Consult your doctor, how much weight you have to lose before getting pregnant and ask about the special dietary concern that you have to maintain.
