Breast asymmetry causes & treatment

Women often feel embarrassed about their asymmetric breasts but in reality very few women have naturally symmetric breasts. It is more common to have one breast slightly larger than the other or of different shape. When the difference is negligible it can be overlooked, but problems crop up when the difference is noticeable. Then it leads to physical and emotional problem for a woman.
Breast asymmetry can be treated through surgery but before taking such a step you should know why breast asymmetry happens and to what extent surgery can correct the asymmetry.
Causes of asymmetry breast.
The appearance of breasts mainly depends on three factors- shape, size and position of breast and nipple when standing upright.
- Doctors are of opinion that due to genetics or random growth patterns the breasts may appear different. Breasts grow due to workings of the female hormone estrogen. They start growing after 2 years of first menstrual cycle. They continue to grow for the next 2-4 years. They may grow differently during this time and differ in size and shape. If the breasts have grown differently then they will remain so until pregnancy or menopause. These two events cause breasts to change.
- Some previous surgical procedure could also result in current breast asymmetry.
- Women who undergo breast enhancement surgery often end up with uneven breasts due to faulty technique or poor aftercare or post-operation complications. Breast implants when are not placed correctly can also cause uneven breasts.
- Breast reduction and mastopexy are some other reasons which may cause asymmetric breasts.
Breast surgery for asymmetry breast.
Breast asymmetry can be successfully treated by surgery. But whether you need surgery or not will depend on the degree of asymmetry. Normally if breasts are different by one bra cup size, then doctors recommend surgery. For differences of less than a bra cup size surgery is not required. But again this will depend on the patient’s comfort level.
But if asymmetry is a result of past surgery then another surgical procedure is the way out.
The success rate of such operations is quite high as over 90% of women are happy with the result. But it is seen that surgery is more successful for difference in breast size rather than difference in shape.
Surgeons normally prefer to perform breast surgery not before 18 years of age. It is actually best to operate at least 2 years after the first menstrual cycle. There can be exception to this rule for virginal hypertrophy. In this case the breasts get massively enlarged with cup size greater than D in adolescence. In this case the surgeons perform the operation at a younger age when the other breast has not grown fully.
There are women who have asymmetric breasts and they enjoy their unique individuality. They enjoy their womanhood. But again there are women who face emotional issues due to asymmetric breasts. It is absolutely fine to undergo surgery to get the perfect breasts. Either way, what matters is being happy and feeling content. You should never stop loving yourself with symmetric or asymmetric breasts.

Hey Aarin,
If your friend hasn’t found a solution yet she should try Braza Silicone Magic. They work pretty well with making everything look even and natural.

I think they sell them in most lingerie stores, I have the same problem as her and they really help me. So, I hope you see this.
I’m 15 and have really uneven breasts. One is a D cup, the otheris a A/B cup. I was wondering if they could even out more in the next few years, and the differences would become less noticable.
